Derrick Davis II and KeiAmber McKay each receive $1,000 Scholarships
MADISON, FL – The Madison Lions Club continued its longstanding support of North Florida College
students with a recent contribution to the NFC Foundation, helping provide scholarships
to two students for the 2026-27 academic year.
The Madison Lions Club continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of North
Florida College students through its generous and ongoing support of scholarships.
This year, Derrick Davis II and KeiAmber McKay were each awarded a $1,000 Madison
Lions Club Scholarship.
“Derrick and KeiAmber are wonderful examples of the students these scholarships are
designed to support,” said Coordinator of Scholarships Brienna Valentine. “They are
working toward their goals and building their futures right here at NFC. Support from
the Madison Lions Club helps ease the financial burden of college and allows students
like Derrick and KeiAmber to focus more fully on their education and what comes next.”
Representatives from NFC joined Madison Lions Club members for the monthly meeting
Sept. 8 at Cucinella’s Pizza in Madison. During the meeting, Lions Club President
Tim Dunn presented the club’s latest $1,000 contribution to continue funding the scholarship
at NFC.
Traci McClung, NFC Director of Resource Development, shared an update on North Florida
College and its work to serve students and communities throughout the region, while
Valentine spoke about the scholarship program and the recipients benefiting from the
Lions Club’s generosity.
The Madison Lions Club has made supporting NFC students an annual commitment, typically
contributing $1,000 each year to provide scholarship assistance to a local student
pursuing an education at the college. The partnership reflects the club’s commitment
to education and investing directly in students within the community.
“The continued support of the Madison Lions Club means so much to our students and
to North Florida College,” said McClung. “Their commitment year after year provides
more than financial assistance. It gives students encouragement and reminds them that
their community believes in their education and their future. We are incredibly grateful
for this partnership and the opportunities it continues to create for NFC students.”
Through partnerships with local organizations such as the Madison Lions Club, the
NFC Foundation helps reduce financial barriers for students while connecting community
generosity directly to educational opportunities.
