The 2024-2025 Open Door Grant supports your pursuit of in-demand career and technical
education programs at NFC.
If eligible, you may receive tuition funding for the following workforce programs:
- CDL Class A
- Certified Nursing Assistant
- Correctional Officer (Traditional Correctional BRTP)
- Crossover from Correctional Officer to Law Enforcement Officer
- Crossover from Law Enforcement Officer to Correctional Officer
- Fundamental Foodservice Skills
- Welding Technology
Eligibility Requirements:
- You have applied to NFC and intend to register in an eligible program
- You currently are classified as a State of Florida resident and have resided in Florida
for at least one year.
- You are aware that Open Door funds are applied after federal and state grants, or
third-party payments, to cover a maximum award equal to the amount needed to cover
100% of tuition and fees, exam costs, books, and supplies, subject to availability
of funding.
- The Open Door Grant funds are first come first serve.

- Register/Plan to Register in eligible program
- Complete the 2024-2025 Open Door Grant Application
